Ramchandra Chandravansi University (RCU), a private university with main campus at Bishrampur, Palamu, Jharkhand has been established by an Act of Govt. of Jharkhand (Jharkhand Act No 10, 2018) which has been published in the Jharkhand Gazette vide the Law Department Notification No. 903 Dated 24th September, 2018.

RCU has been created to provide quality education in technical, medical, vocational, degree courses and related branches as par world class standard at affordable cost with the particular aim to extend the benefit of higher education to economically backward section of society.

Institutes of higher learning under RCU are located in serene surroundings within four campuses spread over more than 100 Acres of land in the districts of Palamu and Garhwa in the state of Jharkhand. The main campus is at Bishrampur, Palamu. The campuses are equipped with modern class rooms, laboratories, computer centre, library, seminar rooms, auditorium and indoor & outdoor games facilities providing simultaneous stress on curricular and co-curricular activities.

To take affirmative actions for increasing access of ordinary common Indian men, women, physically challenged and economically deprived section of to diverse fields of education covering engineering, medical, vocational and other diverse disciplines at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level.

To establish different state-of-art institutions for ensuring proper linkages between planning of professional facilities and the market demand so that the University becomes demand driven, meets the needs of the economy and become important technological hub of the country.

To create infrastructure for curriculur and co-curriculur activities in different fields of education for all-round development of the students hailing from both rural and urban areas.

To develop human potential to its fullest extent so that inteclectually capable and imaginatively gifted leaders can emerge in a range of professions.
